I am the co-director of Poetry719, a local Black let poetry group uplifting the voices of marginalized communities through poetry and art. We partner with Keep Colorado Springs Queer for a Queer open mic. I help host this event when we collaborate and share my poetry on the open mic. Creating spaces for queer artists to share their stories and be in the community is an honor and a joy.
