Keynote speaker at Colorado Springs School for the Middle and Upper School students during an assembly to honor Martin Luther King Jr. This talk focused on non-violence and how we should love, friendship, and care. I acknowledged that conflict, anger and pain exist, and invited the students to recognize we get to choose how we react. We are all permission slips for others to show up in love and compassion even when it is the hardest thing to do.
